The new Ripley Valley State School is based in the high growth area of Ipswich, catering to primary school students within the diverse community in this region.

Delivered as part of the Queensland Government’s Building Future Schools Program, the school will have five new buildings including:

• two storey science building
• three storey senior primary learning centre
• 1 storey prep learning centre
• 1 storey canteen and amenities building

Working with Badge Constructions, Phillips Smith Conwell were brought onto the team as part of this rapid build project, contributing knowledge and expertise to the documentation and design development phase of the project.

As part of this phase, we led design development workshops with the construction and school leadership teams, providing an objective opinion on ways to enhance the design and facilitate changes with Badge Constructions.

In addition to this, we worked with the builder, school principal, key stakeholders of the school, Department of Education representatives, and the project manager to provide finishes selections throughout all buildings.
