This 100 child early learning centre although geographically isolated from the adjacent prep-to-12 college forms important link foundation learning for children from six weeks of age to pre-school care. The brief required certain spaces to be flexible to allow for varying numbers of learners to be managed with a minimum of staff, and be constructed from minimum maintenance material and finish choices. The solution also had to resolve local traffic pattern issues left behind from the previous building on the site, and consider the future learning objectives of the Centre as the first part of an ultimately two stage development.
