The new Queensland Police Facility in Arundel is a 24hr multipurpose facility for modern-day policing. It is the first of its kind in Queensland and works as a dedicated policing hub for the region with no public interface.
The facility includes 104 workstation day room, various support and meeting rooms, specialised secure stores, operational equipment rooms, gymnasium and staff amenities, outdoor amenities, and a purpose built dog squad facility.
With a fast track program, challenging site conditions, unique geotechnical aspects and structural considerations, our team was required to use quick, strategic thinking and collaborate productively with the broader contracting team to bring the project together cohesively. The end result is a facility which has been received well and fully embraced by the policing community.
The specialised facility boasts over 4000m2 in floor area with an architectural expression that sits well within its context in a predominantly industrial precinct.
