Phillips Smith Conwell was selected after a limited competition to undertake the master planning of the College’s four standalone Prep to Year 12 campuses. The final proposals were approved for use across the different sites, and our practice then developed the adopted layouts to propose both additions to existing facilities and new standalone structures.
On one campus, a temporary building village and most of the permanent building stock was replaced with state-of-the-art learning spaces, a new Administration wing, a non-didactic learning and library space, and staff amenities.
Southern Cross is now adopting the learning area layouts and finishes delivered as part of this projects phase, as an exemplar for all future student contact spaces.
