Phillips Smith Conwell was engaged as Architect and lead consultant to upgrade the oldest operating centre in Queensland by providing new secure accommodation for 200 men, a full range of supporting facilities including zoning and controlled access walkways.

The facility is co-located with the new Townsville Women’s Correctional Centre and shares the visitor processing and car park facilities.
